This morning's commute on the Brown Line was another CTA clusterfuck, brillantly orchestrated by "switch problems." With trains snarled like tapeworms around the downtown rectum of the city, I decided to abandon our third-world train system at the Chicago stop (that's 800 North for you suburbanites).
Since every bus was packed and every cab seemed taken, I ended up walking all the way to 200 South LaSalle (that's far for you suburbanites). But that walk in the blistering cold was all worth it, knowing the Bulls finally pulled the trigger on a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Seattle Supersonics.
A bunch of minor players are involved for salary cap considerations, but here are the main players moving: Joe Smith and Ben Wallace head to the Cavs. Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes come to the Bulls. Adrian Griffin and his expiring contract get shipped to Seattle.
With Griffin and Wallace gone, the big question remains for the Bulls: Who is going to call the players-only team meetings?
Please don't let it be Chris Duhon.
