Just what exactly was I smoking when I dropped a Benjamin Franklin on the Charlotte Bobcats (+3) last night, thinking that Chris Paul, Peja, and Tyson Chandler would run the banged up Bulls right off the court? Well, you can imagine my initial reaction when the game started and I immediately realized that the Bull's opponent was NOT the New Orleans Hornets. No matter. The Bulls played horrendous and drifted aimlessly into a 90-77 loss.
By the way, I'm not the biggest fan of microwaves. But when it comes to melting salsa con queso dip, it truly delivers.

Bobcats forward Emeka Okafor had a double-double by half-time and turned in an efficient, dominating performance: 10-13 PG, 21 pts, 16 rebs, 4 blks. Plenty of NBA analysts have labeled Okafor as somewhat of a disappointment since being drafted. But there are plenty of other power forwards in the league I would take Okafor over. Injury issues aside, he may never be spectacular, but his consistency as a player is something many teams, including the Bulls, could use.
Listen up Johnny Pax. Okafor is a free agent after this season, and you should seriously consider signing him. As the #2 or #3 scoring option on a team, he would excel in that Horace Grant type of role. But I suppose the Bulls still need to find a better #1 scoring option.
